Terms of Service

Last Updated: January 2025

Agreement

By using WorthKeeping, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the extension.

The Service

WorthKeeping is a browser extension that helps you capture and review work memories. It stores data locally in your browser. That's the whole thing.

Your Responsibilities

  • You're responsible for the content you save
  • You're responsible for your own AI API keys and any associated costs
  • Don't use this for anything illegal

API Keys

  • If you use AI features, you provide your own API key
  • You're responsible for keeping your API key secure
  • Usage costs are between you and your AI provider
  • We never see, store, or transmit your API key to our servers (we don't have servers)

Intellectual Property

  • Your data is yours - we make no claims to it
  • The extension code and branding belong to us
  • We don't claim any rights to your work logs

Disclaimer

  • This software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We're not responsible for lost data (though it's stored locally, so back up your browser if you're worried)
  • We're not responsible for AI-generated content accuracy
  • Use your judgment when relying on AI summaries for performance reviews

Limitation of Liability

  • We're not liable for any damages arising from using this extension
  • Maximum liability is limited to $0 (it's free software)
  • You use this extension at your own risk

Termination

You can stop using WorthKeeping at any time by uninstalling it. We can't terminate your access because there's nothing to terminate - all data is stored locally on your machine.

Changes

  • We may update these terms from time to time
  • Continued use means you accept the new terms
  • Significant changes will be noted in extension update notes

Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with standard legal procedures.
