The Short Version

WorthKeeping stores all your data locally in your browser. We don't have servers. We can't see your data. We don't want to.

What Data We Collect

  • Work log entries you explicitly type
  • Timestamps of when you created entries
  • That's it. No browsing history, no personal information, no usage analytics.

Where Your Data is Stored

  • Locally in your browser's IndexedDB storage
  • Never transmitted to any server we operate
  • We don't operate servers. There's nowhere for your data to go.

Third-Party Services

  • None by default
  • If you enable AI chat features, requests go directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
  • We never see, proxy, or log these requests
  • Your API key is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to us

We do NOT request: tabs, history, browsingData, or any invasive permissions.

Data Retention & Deletion

  • You control everything
  • Delete individual entries anytime from the History view
  • Clear all data from browser settings or by uninstalling
  • Uninstalling the extension removes all associated data

Analytics & Tracking

None. Zero. Zilch.

  • No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no tracking pixels
  • We genuinely have no idea how many people use this extension
  • We prefer it that way

Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone (see above).

Changes to This Policy

  • We'll update this page if anything changes
  • Major changes will be noted in extension update notes
